The National Wine Agency to Employ Around 60 Young People During the Grape Harvest
During the 2026 grape harvest, the National Wine Agency will employ around 60 young people as operators at the Grape Harvest Coordination Centre and wineries.
Candidates for the operator positions were selected through interviews. Specialists from the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture provided the selected candidates with specialised training required for the role at the Grape Harvest Coordination Centre.
Some of the young people recruited already have experience in performing similar work during previous grape harvests.
The operators will be responsible for recording and processing data on grape deliveries in the grape harvest registration system. The system has been operational in Georgia since 2013 and ensures the collection of complete and accurate data on grapes delivered to wineries. This information is essential for the efficient management of the grape harvest and the production of high-quality wine.
Georgia’s forecast grape harvest for 2026 amounts to 320,000 tonnes.
