New York Post Publishes Article on Georgian Wine
02.06.2026

The American publication New York Post has published an article entitled “Forget France, these exciting wine regions around the world are worth the sip,” which features both Georgian wine and Georgia as a travel destination.

The article was prepared with the involvement of Colangelo & Partners, the National Wine Agency’s contracted marketing company in the United States.

The author of the article, Alexandra Owens, encourages readers to visit Georgia and experience Georgian wine. The article highlights Georgia’s 8,000-year-old winemaking history, the diversity of its grape varieties, and the inscription of the traditional Georgian qvevri winemaking method on UNESCO’s List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage. “You might find yourself in a Georgian wine cellar unsealing egg-shaped qvevri — a type of ancient vessel used for fermentation,” the author notes.

Founded in 1801, the New York Post is one of the most widely read daily newspapers in the United States, with millions of readers across both its print and online editions.

To promote Georgian wine, increase its international recognition, and support the development of wine tourism, the National Wine Agency has for many years cooperated with international media companies, including CNN, CBS, Netflix, The New York Times, Wine Enthusiast, and others.
