Georgian wine tasting held in Miami
With the support of the National Wine Agency, a Georgian wine masterclass and tasting was held in Miami, USA, as part of the project “Wines of Georgia on Tour”. American sommelier Allegra Angelo presented Georgian wine to invited local professionals at the masterclass.
About 60 Georgian wines of various denominations were presented at the tasting. Georgian wine received great interest and high marks from the participants.
Within the framework of "Wines of Georgia on Tour", a similar event was held in Chicago. The presentation of Georgian wine in a similar format will be held in various states of the USA and aims to popularize Georgian wine and create new export opportunities.
The United States of America is a strategic market for Georgian wine, where both quality requirements and the level of competition are high. In recent years, a number of marketing and tasting events supported by the National Wine Agency have significantly contributed to the growth of Georgian wine awareness and exports to the American market.
It is worth noting that the US market is one of the most expensive segments for Georgian wine, where the average export price of one liter of Georgian wine is approximately 6 USD.
