Presentation of Georgian Wine Held in Chicago within “Wines of Georgia on Tour”
With the support of the National Wine Agency, a Georgian wine master class and tasting was held in Chicago, USA. The event gave wine professionals, representatives of the commercial sector, and wine enthusiasts the opportunity to discover the diversity of Georgian wine.
The event was led by renowned sommelier Jim Bube, who introduced guests to around 60 Georgian wines. Georgian wine attracted strong interest and received high praise from the tasting participants.
The Chicago event is part of the “Wines of Georgia on Tour” tasting series, which will be held across various U.S. states. The series aims to promote Georgian wine and create new export opportunities.
The United States is one of the strategic markets for Georgian wine, with high quality requirements and strong competition. In recent years, numerous marketing and tasting events carried out with the support of the National Wine Agency have significantly contributed to increasing Georgian wine awareness and exports in the U.S. market.
At the same time, the U.S. represents one of the highest-priced segments for Georgian wine, where the average export price of one liter of Georgian wine is approximately USD 6.
