Georgian Wine Presented at the Prestigious French Gastronomy School Ferrandi
With the support of the National Wine Agency and the Embassy of Georgia to the French Republic, a Georgian wine masterclass was held in Paris at Ferrandi, one of France’s most prestigious higher education institutions specializing in gastronomy.
The Georgian wine presentation was led by Ana Godabrelidze, Chair of the National Wine Agency’s Tasting Commission, and Christophe Lavelle, wine and gastronomy expert.
Five Georgian wines were presented during the masterclass, each paired with specially designed courses prepared by Stephan Jakic, professor at Ferrandi and international chef-instructor.
The event was attended by Tamta Kvelaidze, Deputy Chairman of the National Wine Agency.
This event marked the third presentation of Georgian wine in France this week. Previous wine presentation and tasting events were held at the Ritz Paris hotel and at Episode, a Michelin-starred restaurant.
Increasing the awareness of Georgian wine and promoting it in international markets remains one of the key priorities of the National Wine Agency. Since 2013, the Agency has been actively implementing marketing and promotional campaigns in various countries, including France, a nation renowned for its winemaking heritage, where demand for Georgian wine, particularly qvevri wine, has been steadily growing.
