With the support of the National Wine Agency and the organization of the agency's contractor, the American marketing company "Colangelo & Partners", the presentation of Georgian wine was held in the USA, in the city of Austin, Texas, at the "Austin Food & Wine Festival".
The National Wine Agency was one of the partners of the festival.
23 wines from various Georgian wine producing companies were presented at the festival. A tasting masterclass was also held within the framework of the festival under the title: "Georgian Wine for Everyday Drinking".
The "Austin Food & Wine Festival", which has been held annually since 2012, is traditionally attended by chefs from Michelin-starred restaurants, sommeliers, wine professionals, HORECA sector representatives and consumers, which is especially important for increasing the awareness and demand for Georgian wine among consumers in the strategic US market.
The National Wine Agency is implementing the Georgian wine marketing campaign in the USA in cooperation with the largest American marketing company "Colangelo & Partners". Within the framework of the campaign, tasting seminars are held for wine professionals and representatives of the wine trade in various cities of the USA; Georgian wine is presented at international exhibitions; wine tours to Georgia are organized for media, sommeliers and sales representatives, which helps to better familiarize and popularize Georgian wine in the American market.
With the financial and organizational support of the National Wine Agency, Georgian wine was presented at the following events in the United States this fall: the large-scale Georgian wine tasting "Wines of Georgia Grand Tasting" (Los Angeles), the international wine festival "Karakterre" (New York), the international wine exhibition "Orange Glou Fair" (New York), the first Georgian amber wine festival "Amber Georgia" (New York), the international natural wine exhibition "RAW Wine NYC" (New York), "San Diego Food + Wine Festival" (San Diego). Also in the fall, two wine tours to Georgia were held for American wine professionals.
