The National Wine Agency hosted participants of the “Voice of Youth” project.
Irma Mdinaradze, a representative of the National Wine Agency, introduced the participating young people to the culture, history, achievements of Georgian wine, and its positions in international markets. The guests toured the Agency’s museum space, where historical and archaeological exhibits related to Georgian wine culture are presented.
The young participants of the project represent various municipalities of Georgia. During the meeting, the importance of youth involvement and their qualified knowledge for the development of Georgian winemaking and for creating favorable conditions for the production of high-quality Georgian wine was highlighted.
“We introduced the young people to the 8,000-year continuous traditions and history of Georgian vine and wine. We also discussed, of course, wine quality — the significance of measures taken to ensure quality and how it is controlled,” noted Irma Mdinaradze.
The “Voice of Youth” project is implemented by the National Institute of Debates and Education within the 2025 grant competition “Strengthening Youth Organizations,” with the support of the Youth Agency.
“Within the framework of the ‘Voice of Youth’ project, preparations are underway across Georgia for the debates championship. The most relevant topic for us is environmental protection. Today, the young participants had questions regarding wine production, specifically about how all standards are ensured and the progress in this direction in our country,” noted Tinatin Tsertsvadze, Director of the National Institute of Debates and Education.
