American Master of Wine Lisa Perrotti-Brown visited Georgia.
Within the framework of cooperation between the National Wine Agency of Georgia and the American company Big Sky Ranch Inc., American Master of Wine Lisa Perrotti-Brown visited Georgia.
Lisa Perrotti-Brown visited Georgian wineries in Imereti and Racha, where she tasted a wide variety of Georgian wines on site and became acquainted with traditional Georgian winemaking methods. During a special tasting held in Tbilisi, she sampled around 50 wines from various Georgian wine companies.
The American Master of Wine also attended the Gurjaani Wine Festival, where she gave a presentation on the prospects and opportunities for the export of Georgian wine to the U.S. market.
Following her visit, Lisa Perrotti-Brown will prepare another article on the wines of Western Georgia for the American publication The Wine Palate. After her visit in July of this year, she had already published an article titled “Georgian Wines Take the Global Stage” in The Wine Palate in September.
The online publication The Wine Palate includes a database of wines evaluated by experts from around the world, with regularly updated reviews. The website is designed to help consumers easily find their preferred wine styles while enhancing their overall tasting experience. Lisa Perrotti-Brown primarily reviews American and Bordeaux wines, as well as Champagne — to which Georgian wines have now been added this autumn.
Master of Wine Lisa Perrotti-Brown has been active in the wine industry for more than 25 years.
The United States is one of the strategic export markets for Georgian wine. With the support of the National Wine Agency, targeted marketing activities carried out since 2013 have significantly contributed to increasing the awareness and export of Georgian wine in the U.S.
